The Basics
Thrifted Shirt & Moccasins // Gap Jeans //
Vintage rings (from my great grandmother’s fantastic stash)
This is my “comfy” outfit.
My favorite moccasins. Not only did I get them for like 2 dollars or something ridiculous (AND they were brand new) but they are insanely comfy and lined with some sort of fuzzy goodness. I’m really going to attempt to not destroy them like all of my other shoes. They’re just so perfect for fall and running around the city in though, so it may be hard.
PS. I’m going to go ahead and point out another way I’ve gotten super good at being ridiculously cheap – see that dresser? yah. 20 bucks dude. yah.forreal. It was another auction find and my madre was even nice enough to spruce it up and re-finish it for us too (sometimes I wish I had the space to do that stuff myself!).
Alright! enough talk about my cheapness!
I love this outfit! You have such a lovely blog!
Thanks so much! 🙂
looooove your moccasins! been looking for some similar but haven’t had any luck yet 🙂
I love this outfit – so classic and effortless. Sometimes the basics are the best!
totally agree! I definitely consider myself a very “basics” kind of girl!
I <3 moccasins
Super cute and casual!
Those shoes are awesome!I have a question. Do you do any sort of disinfecting of thrifted shoes? I have mental block when it comes to wearing someone else’s shoes.
ABSOLUTELY! I am the same way, actually, if shoes look very worn I always pass (thankfully the pair I’m wearing here were literally brand new – not a scuff on anything!) but whenever I bring home any pair from a thrift store (even if they look unworn) I stick them in a plastic bag and throw them in the freezer as soon as I walk in the door. Freezing can kill a lot of different germs, as well as any bed-bugs or the like they might have possibly picked up from a thrift store. After at least a day or two I retrieve them from the freezer and lysol them down and usually febreeze them too.hope that helps!
