We’ve been jammin’, yo!
What can I say? I love a good pun.
Me and my mamma were able to find just about the last place in Jersey left that was still picking strawberries this past week and loaded up! Even though picking them at the very end of the season means you have to dig for them and they tend to be much smaller, it’s totally worth it because they’re the sweetest strawberries you’ll ever taste! We barely added any sugar to the jam we made but it’s still insanely sweet (in a good way!). I love having the fresh home-made stuff around now – I feel like I could never go back to store-bought jam! I’m already planning to can some whole peaches, apple butter, and maybe some raspberry preserves this summer, too!
That reminds me that I need to stop by our local strawberry stand and pick up some fresh farm berries!
