Peach Sweet Tea

I’m quite certain I learned what heaven smells like.

And it smells like a peach tree.

A big peach tree with peaches that are fuzzy like a pony’s nose and so ripe they get your hands sticky when you pull them from the tree. It’s amazing.

Me and my mamma went out raspberry picking, but when we got to the fields the berries were sad, tiny, and needed another week or two before they were sweet. So we figured we’d just pick some peaches instead. They were so fragrant and ripe we ended up with both of our buckets overflowing.

So I got a lot of peaches.

But my mamma gave me the brilliant idea to make fresh peach iced tea. It turned out pretty darn amazing if I do say so myself, and I do!

Peach Sweet Tea

3 regular size Earl Grey tea bags

3 cups of water, boiling

1/2 cup of sugar

1 super-ripe peach (skinned and pitted)

6 cups (or so) of ice

Steep the tea bags in the boiling water for ten minutes. Puree the peach in a blender and pour into the bottom of your pitcher. Add tea and sugar, and stir to blend. Add ice and Enjoy!
