I found myself with a bag full of peaches today and looking for uses for excuses to use them. I was so excited when I thought of making cider with them! One of the local farm market makes peach cider that is amazing. But then I did a quick internet search for recipes and came up with nothing. But it can’t be too hard, right? RIGHT. It’s super easy and insanely delicious hot or cold! I think it’s perfect for this weird in-between weather. When you’re ready for those spiced fall drinks but summer is still holding on (and you need to take advantage of those last summer peaches!).
Ingredients : 4 medium sized peaches, 1 1/2 cups of Apple Juice, 1/4 tsp of cinnamon, 1/8 tsp nutmeg
Start by peeling and pitting all of your peaches. Then puree them in a food processor or blender. Add peach puree, apple juice and spices to a pot and turn to medium heat. Bring to a boil and then reduce to simmer for 15 minutes (or more, if you’d like it extra thick). Serve hot or iced!
Yum! 🙂
