Passing afternoon
Gap Shirt // Old Navy Cardigan // Vintage Skirt, Belt & Hat // Minnetonka Moccasins
I originally had this skirt in a pile of vintage clothing waiting to be photographed and put up for sale in my shop, but as I was getting ready to take pictures I totally fell in love with it. I usually am not a long skirt person (perhaps it brings back the nightmarish ankle length skirts that most other homeschool girls I knew were forced to wear by their mothers growing up) but this one is so fun and perfect for twirling, and come on, who doesn’t enjoy a good twirl? It’s a keeper:)
I have a skirt just like that! It was my mother’s. I don’t wear it often (probably for the same reason you weren’t going to keep yours), but I love it so much that I decided to keep it forever, regardless. It came with a blue skinny belt (which I actually wear fairly often). It’s the right time of year, I should see how it works with tall boots…
I love this outfit! I like how you’ve combined the colors and the somewhat different styles (thinking about the top and the skirt, one being very rustic and the other very feminine and romantic).
Is the cardigan from this year at Old Navy??
Angie, it’s actually from a year or two ago – sorry! I tend to buy a the end of seasons
beautiful.
I loved the colours and sentiment of this outfit so much I made it one of my five favourite outfits for the week. You can see them here http://bisous.typepad.com/bisous/ in my Friday’s Top Five.
