Simple Fox Mask
Last week I came across these masks and was completely in love! I thought it would be fun to make my own version of a little fox mask with just some basic stuff (no sewing required!) for halloween.
I started by making a ‘pattern’ out of regular copy paper. Folding it in half, drawing just a half on the fold, and cutting out (that way it’s perfectly symmetrical) – you can use a plastic mask from the dollar store as a help if you need to! Cut out eyes carefully using en exacto knife. This is a great way to double check and make sure your eye holes and what-not are in a good place before you cut into fabric.
Using the pattern you made, cut out a piece of felt, and two pieces of fabric. Split the fabric pieces in half. I used the top half from the plaid fabric I chose for the ears, and the plain red for the bottom. Using heat bond, iron fabric pieces to felt following the directions on the package. You can use a few little cut outs for the ears too!
I sewed a piece of fabric on either side to tie it up!
It was pretty simple, and I’m pretty happy with how it came out! Wouldn’t these be really cute for little kids costumes too?
That is super cute!!
