The Devon Horse Show is one of the few places where “country fair” means shopping at a miniature Anthropologie, eating gourmet tea sandwiches for lunch, and a ladies hat contest that makes you feel like you’re attending a royal wedding. It’s also one of the few places that has totally unique horse classes where kids hunt teams are encouraged to “bribe” the judges and ride in full costumes (my favorite team this year was the Powderpuff girls who’s horses each had flouresent colored hair to match their costumes). I just adore it. Me and my mom (that’s her in her adorable hat by the fence!) spend all year talking about it now. It’s aboslutely something to add to your “bucket list” if you’re a horse lover:)

  1. That looks like so much fun! I’ll have to grab a horsey friend and go sometime.

  2. Sounds like it was a lot of fun!! It is nice to watch horse shows. I have only been to one but really enjoyed it. That is so fun that people go in costumes. I love horses. I haven’t been on one in a while, but I used to ride western and english style (sometimes I put them together, but I mainly ride english).
