Lately I’ve been thinking a lot about focus. I recently read an article that talked to wealthy men who had built amazing businesses and they had discovered that what all of these men felt was most important, was focus. I’m a natural multitasker, constantly trying to do ten things at once. In the end, getting very little done, and almost nothing done well. I even try to multitask with silly things, like blogging and keeping the TV on in the background. It means I’m not fully watching what’s on TV, and not fully attentive to blogging.

I’ve found that even when I try to relax it’s nearly impossible because my brain is so trained to do ten things at once, I’m constantly looking around to see what else I should be doing while “relaxing”. So I’m trying to slow down and focus myself on doing one thing at a time, and doing it well, even with things as insignificant as maybe doing the dishes or cleaning the house. Full attention.
