In general, I’m not much of a holiday person. I’m not quite as grinch-y as when I used to work retail, but Christmas and New Years just make me feel sort of * shrug *
Halloween on the other hand…
I’m always sad to see summer go, but I’ve always loved halloween. Over the years I’ve learned to ride the wave of white girl fall and really lean into the whole autumn season. As a bit of a natural-born minimalist (I just personally hate clutter, although I love seeing other’s maximalist homes!) the thought of having bins of decor stored in my basement the rest of the year makes me cringe a bit. I typically go with mostly real pumpkins, that way I can take them out to our woods when they start to rot (check out this simple fall table I put together last year!).
But I can’t help but also mix in some fun little DIY projects and crafts to really get into the spirit, and I couldn’t stop myself from using my new Cricut Maker 3 to create some fun home decor Fall Cricut Projects!
Spooky Cute Halloween Napkins and Hand Towels
I really wanted some cute halloween tea towels for our kitchen this year and couldn’t find any I really loved to buy, so I made my own! I love how these turned out. The blanks I bought for them were technically napkins, but they’re big enough to use for either!
What you need:
- Cricut Smart Iron-On Vinyl
- Napkin or Hand Towel Blanks (I used these ones from Hearth and Hand and love them)
- Cricut Maker
- Cricut Easy Press

You’ll see in the Design Space Project that there’s not a specific pattern, all of the shapes are just sort of thrown together on purpose. For my napkins I cut out each shape individually, weeded them, and then played around with placing them on the fabric. That way each napkin was a little unique and each felt a little “random” (in a fun way!). Once I was happy with placement I used my Cricut Easy Press and used the recommendations for cotton.

Pumpkin Spice Club Frame Art
I was inspired by some of the amazing artists painting on glass on Tiktok and wanted to try my hand at making my own, and I absolutely love how it came out! It’s such a fun and simple home decor project for fall. This is a super easy diy project, but can take a few days to finish if you do multiple layers of paint like I did, so keep that in mind if you’re in a rush to finish.
What you need:
- Cricut Smart Permanent Vinyl
- Frame (you can find great ones at the thrift store!)
- Craft paint (Walmart, Target, and any craft store ones with do)
- Cricut Maker

Start by thoroughly cleaning your frame’s glass (be careful!). Measure frame and resize Design Space art to fit. Cut out art using your Cricut, and weed your design. Using transfer tape, transfer your design to your frame glass. Flip the glass over so your design is face down on a paint-friendly surface. Start by painting in any “details” you want to add, like shadows and accents. Allow to dry, then add more paint, letting fully dry between each paint layer.
