March is always such a tease. It's definitely one of my least favorite months. I'm well past any good feelings about winter and am waking up everyday desperately hoping it might be warm. But the truth is, March is rarely warm, and usually piles plenty of snow on top of our blooming daffodils. Of course, I still can't resist running out in the snow to take a few pictures, it definitely has a little magic to it that you can't beat, even if you would much rather be running around 80 degrees and a bathing suit instead.

My hopes of a snow-less March have officially been dashed. I can't complain about getting an unexpected snow day from work though, It's a rare and beautiful thing. A little extra time to catch up on things, get a little work done, and of course, relax with a big cup of tea and a movie. Hope all of you other north easties are staying warm and safe too!

On Sunday we got our first real snow! It's kind of a big deal around here because it almost never snows before Christma, and even if it does it's usually just a small dusting, but we actually got a nice thick layer to play in! To be totally honest I really haven't been feeling in the Christmas spirit lately. This whole time of the year has always had it's ups and downs for my family so sometimes it's not that easy for me to get really into it. In fact, I hated Christmas for a few years (especially when I worked retail!), but the snow definitely felt like a little gift just to get me in the right spirits - and it definitely worked! I'm kind of hoping we keep getting snow so we can have a white Christmas:)
